Inshore Surveying (Hydrography)

With over 20 years of experience and more than 300,000 measured profiles in Germany, Austria and Poland, we are one of the leading companies in this field. Our expertise extends in particular to large-scale flood protection projects, for which we are active in numerous German federal states.

Our team consists of three permanent survey teams, which can be temporarily expanded by the Geo Group if required. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and our own boats, we customise our measurement methods and systems precisely to the respective requirements.

For surveying smaller or easily accessible river sections, we use total stations or GNSS technology depending on requirements and terrain conditions. In deeper waters, we use echo sounders that provide depth values with a system accuracy of approx. 2-3 cm. Our methods make it possible to precisely determine the waterbed by recording points at a distance of approx. 50 cm.

For large-scale projects, we also use green laser aerial surveys to obtain comprehensive data on the watercourses.

The data is analysed using state-of-the-art tools such as JABRON in common formats such as WPROF, GPRO and HIPPO.

We also offer the creation of special formats on request.
