New technology: Trimble MX2 – Mobile Mapping System

The Trimble MX2 is a vehicle-mounted spatial mapping system that combines high-resolution laser scanning and precise positioning to capture geo-referenced point clouds.

The dual head system comprises a combined Trimble Applanix GNXX and inertial module. It can be deployed on on-road and off-road vehicles in a short time and it significantly reduces project time in the field. The Trimble MX2 is equipped with Trimble Trident software – enabling fast extraction and analysis of raw data.

Possible applications include Highway surveys/sections, dams/landfill sites, measurement of overhead power lines, river bank surveys, shore areas in harbors, etc.
